Upon hearing the news of "Anastasia's" return, Bartok, who has lived in the palace for these ten years, can't believe his big ears. Anastasia can't be alive ~ all the Romanovs are dead! When Bartok turns around, he notices the old reliquary puffing little green minions. If the reliquary has comeback to life, that must mean that Anastasia is still alive, and Anya is that girl.

Just then, the reliquary, with Bartok attached, flew down through the floor and down, down, down until... boom! he crashes into Limbo. A few seconds later, he is being yelled at by his old master, Rasputin! He picks up Bartok, amazed to see him alive, when Rasputin's eye pops out. He places it back while Bartok explains that Anastasia's really alive. Enraged by this, Rasputin promises that in the Dark of the Night, his evil minions will kill Anastasia!

Meanwhile, Anya, Dimitri, Vlad, and Pooka have boarded a train heading to Paris. Vlad is busy drawing up fake travel papers while Anya and Dimitri bicker. Anya tends to win more of the matches than Dimitri does. Vlad is amused and comments on how there is unspoken attraction between the two, to which Dimitri storms out of the compartment. Vlad then overhears how the ink on his travel papers in wrong ~ blue intead of red. They decide to move to the baggage car before being found out.

Once in the baggage car, the minions begin their tricks. First, they detatch the car and engine from the rest of the train. Dimitri heads for the enginge to see what's wrong, when he finds no one is driving, and that he can't stop the train. He runs back to the car and tells the group that they'll have to jump... the only problem is that they are over a huge cliff! Dimitri decided that they had better try to uncouple the engine, but the minions have molded the coupling together. Anya finds some dynamite, which works fine. The minions fly ahead to destroy the bridge the train is heading toward, which is bad, because the brakes are out. In one last attempt to stop the car, Dimitri crawls under the car to attach a chain to it. When some iron from the front of the train falls off, Anya pulls him to safety. Dimitri says that if they live through it, he'll have to thank Anya. The opposite end of the chain catches onto the railroad tie, but this only pulls the car sideways. Now it's safe for the group to jump out of the car. The engine and baggage car proceed to fall off the cliff, exploding. Dimitri looks at the others and mentions never to let him get on a train again.
